Finding & Using an Interstate Casting House

If there's no local lost wax casting services in your town or city - don't stress! You do not need to live in the same city or even state as your casting house. You can definitely post your waxes to a casting house in a different city or state. Read on to find out how to send your wax jewellery models via regular postal services so you can get your waxes cast.

Many people are worried their casting house won't accept jewellery waxes via post, or that the waxes themselves will break during transit. But the good news is: yes, you can post your wax jewellery models to your casting house, and yes, it's perfectly safe. If you haven't read this article yet, check it out for instructions on safely packaging your waxes.

I've personally shipped waxes to Sydney, NSW, and Melbourne, VIC from my home in Cairns, North QLD. That's a round trip of over 4000km! If you're unsure, give your casting house a call before shipping. But typically, there is no issue with sending your waxes via post.

Just ensure you add a detailed note along with your waxes. I always provide my full name, phone number, email, ABN, business name, as well as instructions for casting my rings and pendants.
